my first day of screen printing!
I have been involved with PRINTWERKS ( a part of COACHWERKS ) for a year now. Its a community run space where we have built our screen printing studio from scratch, walls and everything!
The studio is nearly finished and we are holding an event to celebrate the opening. Its on Sunday the 5th September 3pm- 6pm if you can make it there will be tshirt printing and some of my delicious cakes and tea!
I designed the posters for the event. I wanted to do something that looked lovely and was also functional as a poster… i think i did that. We printed the posters onto fabric which will now be dotted around brighton.
Here are some pics of the printing day that me and my fellow printer Rachel did, and the final posters hanging up on my homemade washing line.
it was really exciting to see my designs coming out so well it made me look even more forward to my exciting projects that i have coming up very soon!
