good show!

May is the most artiest month here in Brighton, with many super houses opening up their doors for the Artist Open Houses. Showcasing local talented artists, designers and makers. Not to mention a whole load of cake.

I’ve got my work on show at Edited’s secret gallery. They’ve opened up their 3rd floor of their little shop in the heart of Brighton’s North Laine for the May festival.

There are also a couple more local artists displaying their work plus an amazing musical lazer arch!

You can find Edited here at 3 Gardner Street, Brighton open 10-6pm mon-fri and 11-5pm on Sunday’s and Bank Holidays.

So go along and take a look and if you fancy buy yourself a nice new print. It’s on for another week! Plus there are another 2 floors full to the brim with lovely whatnots and doodads to pretty up your home.

(p.s that’s why i’ve been quite lately been busy printing away in my shed for this show and for more craft fairs and stockists!)

You can create all kind of super things with this simple and fun printing technique.

You can find the step by step guide here. As you can see i got very carried away….

If you need some inspiration then check out my Potato Pinterest board dedicated to the art of potato (and the odd vegetable) printing!

Happy Printing and don’t forget to share your pics of your spuddy creations.

spuds spuds spuds

When lovely people from The Green Centre contacted me about writing a guest blog about potatoes I jumped at the chance to get involved. I could bring together my two all time favourite things Potatoes and Printing.

I have created an easy step by step guide to potato printing. It’s great fun for all (even minimooshpie had a go and she is 22months old now) and it’s very very addictive.

You can find my step by step here

We made some pretty bunting out of the paper prints me and minimooshpie made.

Next week i’ll be showing you how to potato print onto fabric!

I am now pretty much stamping everything! heheh

Happy printing
